Big Bear, CA – Taiwanese American Citizens’ League (TACL) presents Leadership Identity Development (LID) Winter Camp in Big Bear Mountain where they will be housed at Cedar Lake Camp (http://campcedarlake.com/) from February 17-20, 2012. This annual summit is designed for students ages 13-18 (Grades 7th to 12th), TACL LID’s counselors lead middle to high school students through four days of cultural workshops, team-building activities, and snow activities. While Winter Camp also focuses have leadership training and confidence building, Winter Camp will also feature and encourage participation in the national high school organization, Junior Taiwanese American Student Association (JTASA). It's a great opportunity for students across Southern California to build lasting relationships! Schedule
Friday Night: Buses pick up at 4:30pm (3000 San Gabriel Blvd, Rosemead) Saturday: Workshops (Culture/ Leadership) + Group Activities
Sunday: Snow Day + Taiwan Night Monday: Closing Ceremony + Go home, pick up at 3pm Campers will meet at pick-up in Rosemead to board a bus and will subsequently be transported to Big Bear Lake City where they will be housed at Cedar Lake Camp. Lodging is located 11 minutes away from Big Bear Mountain Resorts. All activities, except for snow activities, will be held inside the lodging area. Out of the four days of winter camp, one will be dedicated towards snow activities including, snowboarding, skiing, and sledding where the campers can have a day of fun with their new friends.
Price Breakdown Registration has already begun with only 50 spaces available. Camper registration fee is $200 per person. If you would like to participate in either skiing or snowboarding at Big Bear Mountain Resort, the following will be added to your registration fee. + $55 Lift Ticket (if you have equipment) + $30 Equipment Rental (if you have annual pass lift ticket) + $80 Life Ticket + Beginner’s Lesson + Equipment Rentals (a lesson is included in the combined package, but you are not required to attend it.)
