2010 TACL (Taiwanese-American Citizen's League) LID (Leaderships Identity Development) camp is being held at UCLA this year from August 5-8 so campers will be able to experience one of the nation's top universities through living in the dorms, eating in the dining halls, and sitting in the lecture halls. In addition, campus tours will be included in the camp schedule.
Basically, LID camp teaches campers important leadership skills and helps them develop a confident character through workshops headed by hand-picked college counselors who all have a deep passion for Taiwanese heritage (i.e. some workshops teach the Taiwanese language through fun stretching activities); campers will also be introduced to successful Taiwanese-Americans and will be connected to various internship opportunities.
More information and registration is available here. Register before July 11th and get a nice chunky di$count.
